Selected film shots from the trusty little Yashica Mat 124G. It’s been awhile since I’ve shot on film,
but decided it’d be some fun for our European summer road trip!

The following photos are a mix from a roll of Kodak Portra 160, and an Agfa Portrait XPS 160 which
expired in 2007.

You can probably tell the difference, with the blurriness and tinge of nostalgia of the expired Agfa,
and the more natural looking colours produced by the Portra.

Rock the Snack Bar

Probably too early for ice cream, but the cones are stacked and ready to roll.

Round and Round the Carousel

Loved that this was right in the middle of the main square, providing a burst of whimsy from
all directions.

Insane Details of the Florence Cathedral

I absolutely loved the intricacy of the details found on the façade of the duomo in Florence.

More stunning details of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore; every inch of space has been
beautified with imagery, carving or colour.

A Quiet Back Street in Florence

The front of an unassuming bottle shop, beckoning into its dark interior.

Pretty Cafes and Beautiful Fonts

Strolling about Florence sure was a visual treat. Pretty cafes and gelaterias line the streets and
corners, and I really liked the fonts found on shop fronts, or painted boldly on the sides of buildings.

Beautiful Trees on a Spacious Piazza

Can’t remember where this was (does anyone know?), but I loved the trees and spaciousness
of this piazza.

Short Break in the Shade

Taking a short break in the shade while strolling around Florence; soaking up the city’s charisma and casual vibe of the people sitting all around us, engrossed in conversation or drink.

Glimpses of Rome

Along the bustling streets of Rome sits a grand old theatre that captured my attention with
its vintage glamour.

Crumbles of the Colosseum

When one thinks of Rome, one probably thinks of the Colosseum. Considered as one of the greatest works of architecture, it represents the long, bloody history of Imperial Rome.

A Quaint Little Slice of the Black Forest

In the lovely little town of Gengenbach, which is full of half-timbered, chocolate-box and pastel-hued buildings. The quaint surroundings were used as the location for filming Augustus Gloop – the fat, chocolate guzzling boy in “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” – “Save some room for later,
Augustus liebling!”

packed with character.
